Einstein’s Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics

Albert Einstein wrote to Max Born in 1926 in response to his probabilistic interpretation of quantum mechanics and the expression of a deterministic outlook on life and the world: “The theory produces a good deal but hardly brings us closer to the secret of the Old One. I am still at all events convinced that He does not play dice.” “He” meaning God, though his was a God of philosophy, not religion.
