In the early days of television there was no one bigger than Milton Berle. It was no contest. People all over America bought their first TV sets to see Milton Berle perform comedy. His initial major hit was on NBC’s TEXACO STAR THEATRE. It ran from 1948 to 1953. Known as both “Uncle Miltie” and “Mr. Television”, he began as a child actor in movies, moved to radio, and enjoyed an entertainment career as a comedian spanning eight decades. Milton Berle earned two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his marks made on radio and television.
