Timothy Leary’s personal archives

The famous 1960’s counterculture figure Timothy Leary was an author and clinical psychologist who experienced a controversial tenure at Harvard University. He was often in the news for advocating psychedelic drugs. The New York Public Library acquired Leary’s personal archives from his estate. This collection of photographs, videotapes, and correspondence with such public personalities as Jack Kerouac, Aldous Huxley, Allen Ginsberg, and G. Gordon Liddy became available for public investigation in 2013.
