About Derrick Thomas
Derrick Thomas, born January 1, 1967, was an American linebacker and defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs. His 11-year career lasted entirely with the Chiefs, after being drafted in 1989, and he set records such as most sacks in a game. Sadly, Thomas passed away on February 8, 2000 from a blood clot in one of his paralyzed legs.
