Darren Ellisor

A Pilot for more than 25 years, Darren attended United States Air Force Academy for his bachelor’s of Science degree. Then did his Master of Business Administration from University of Louisville. He served 10 years in the Air Force before working for Southwest. On April 17, 2018, Darren Ellisor was the co-pilot on flight 1380 from New York to Dallas when a piece of the engine broke off and forced a premature landing in Philadelphia. Ellisor and Tammie Jo Shults saved the lives of five crew members and 143 passengers. Sadly one passenger died, but because of Ellisor and Shultz 148 people were able to hug their families that night.
