• He played on three consecutive pennant-winning teams.

• Evers was the 1917 MVP.

• “The Crab” was one-third of the Chicago Cubs notorious double-play trio. The trilogy of baseball was comprised of Evers, Joe Tinker and Frank Chance (aka the Chicago Cubs Tinker-to-Evers-to-Chance infield).

• Johnny Evers was presented with a brand new Chalmers automobile as winner of the 1914 Chalmers Award, a predecessor of today's Most Valuable Player Award.

• He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1946.

• He was the first player to win three World Series rings.

• His regimen after games was to curl up in bed with a few candy bars and study the baseball rulebook.
